Kitsune Salon specializes in customer care.
At Kitsune we believe that taking the time to talk to our clients, really listening to what they are looking for, makes all the difference. We work with our clients and educate them on their hair type so they can find a style that feels comfortable and suits their day to day styling routine.
What does Kitsune mean?
Kitsune is the literal Japanese translation for fox, but more so means ‘fox spirit’. Foxes are depicted as intelligent beings possessing paranormal abilities that increase with their age and wisdom. They have the ability to shape shift and are often portrayed as faithful guardians, friends, and lovers.
We feel, like the kitsune, that we are able to transform or shape shift through the art of changing our hair.

Roxanne Ranel-Owner/Stylist
With over a decade of working behind the chair under my belt, I can honestly say I specialize in customer care. I like to take the time to listen to my clients, to work to educate them on their hair type. That way we can find a style that they feel comfortable in that suits their day-to-day styling routine. Whether you want a pixie cut or a fade, just a trim or to chop it all off, if your hair is thick, thin, curly, or you just have some crazy cowlicks I’m here to help you tame that mane! I also love doing color, from natural to mermaid hair, and specialize in Pulp Riot color line.
When I’m not at the shop I love being in nature. Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest I feel most at home in the mountains or on the coast. My partner and I have a son and three cats. I love to paint, cook, and garden.

With a kind, thoughtful, and intuitive approach to hair styling I love to make women look and feel their best. I believe that a strong and beautiful cut is central to creating great style. I specialize in fine and thinning hair; utilizing specific cutting techniques to create the feeling and look of more volume and thickness, while educating my clients on product use and styling to help them achieve their desired look when away from the salon. I love to make small hair look and feel bigger!
In addition to fine hair, working with wavy hair and long lengths are strengths of mine. I also love doing color services and specialize in blonding and color correction.
I look forward to meeting you and giving you your best hair ever!

I am very proud to be a hair stylist at Kitsune Salon, where you’ll be welcomed to a warm and positive atmosphere.
I started my career in 2004 and pride myself in developing and maintaining a trusting, friendly relationship with my clients. I listen carefully to their needs while adding suggestions to find just the right style.
I am well versed in many forms of cutting and coloring techniques. I am willing and able to cut all lengths and types of hair. Whether you want subtle color or bright and vivid, I can’t wait to help create a color just for you. I use Pulp Riot hair color.
I am fun and loving and I aim to make every client feel their best in my chair as well as out in the world!

Felicia Baltazar
Felicia Baltazar joins Kitsune salon with over 15 years of experience. She found her passion for making an impression in this world through hair in high school and pursued to obtain her license. Felicia’s top priority as a stylist is to help people feel empowered and become the person they love when they leave her chair. She has an emphasis on providing her clients with most personal experience. Felicia is always continuing her education and keeping up with evolving hair trends and styles to better serve her clients. Her skills range from bald fades, highlights, blow outs, natural colors, to all blondes out there to unicorn colored hair. Her favorite opportunity is making big transformations "Hair Makeovers" for clients through whatever stage of life they are currently living.
When Felicia is not with a client, she is either enjoying time with her handsome dog, Wade, or training Muay Thai kickboxing. She also loves exploring the great outdoors in the Pacific Northwest or traveling overseas.

As a blonding specialist with over 16 years of experience, numerous classes and certifications under my belt; I’ve also been an educator, independent contractor, mentor, worked fashion shows, editorial work and I consider myself an unlicensed therapist.
My passion for this industry and my dedication to meeting all my clients goals is my top priority. I believe that continuous education is pivotal to growth and being able to achieve these fast paced trends. I use my time behind the chair to find a connection with each guest and strive to empower everyone as well as helping them to see all the beauty they have inside.

Taraneh (Tara) Khoshnevisan
Tara has been doing hair since 2008. She believes that you shouldn’t have to try so hard to have hair that makes you happy. As a curly-haired girl, she struggled just like anyone else to figure out what her hair needed. Tara believes that if you have the right cut and the right knowledge and products, curly hair can be easy! Now she specializes in cutting curly hair and helping people figure out what their hair can do for them.
In her spare time, Tara likes being a proper cat lady and watching TV with her cats. She also enjoys going out to karaoke and to see live music.
Tara uses Loma hair care products and Pulp Riot hair color.

SCHEDULING WITH US
We are all independent contractors at Kitsune, which means we do our appointment scheduling individually and prices will vary slightly from stylist to stylist. Some stylists use online booking while others do booking over the phone. Please refer to the stylists bio you wish to see for more details.
ON THE DAY OF YOUR APPOINTMENT
Please arrive on time for your scheduled appointment. We work with no receptionist so please come in and make yourself comfortable. If you are running 15 minutes late or more we will need to reschedule your appointment.
IF YOU NEED TO CANCEL
We require 24-hour notice for cancellations. Please be sure to cancel with your stylist 24 hours or more before your appointment time to avoid cancellation fees, otherwise you will be charged 50% of the service price. No shows will be charged 100% of the service price.

COLOR
ALL OVER COLOR
Color application for the entire head from roots to ends. Does not include lightening.
COLOR ROOT RETOUCH
For existing clients; touching up roots for all over color (not lightening)
GLOSS OR GREY BLENDING
Semi permanent hair color application meant for blending greys. Not for full coverage or permanent hair color. Can be booked for shine and toning treatment
PARTIAL FOIL
Foils placed with emphasis on focal points, such as around the face. Can be for lightening or going darker
FULL FOIL
Foils placed with minimal hair left out - for a dimensional all over color. Can be for lightening or going darker
ALL OVER COLOR WITH FOILS
All over color application with highlights or lowlights added for more dimension.
Haircuts
SHORT CUT
For hair no longer than chin length. Can be masculine or feminine using scissors all over, or a combination of clippers and scissors. Includes shampoo
LONG CUT
For hair chin length or longer. Can be anything from an A-line or bob haircut to long layers. Shampoo and rough blowout included.
BANG/NECK TRIM
Tidy up your fringe or neckline
BEARD TRIM
Trimming and sculpting of beard
BUZZ CUT
Haircut done with clippers, no scissors. Includes a rinse
KIDS CUT
Haircut for clients under age 10
DEEP CONDITIONING MASK
Nourish your hair with a treatment mask to deliver maximum benefits – add to your haircut service or book as a stand alone appointment
SPECIALTY COLOR
BALAYAGE
A technique of hand painting lightener and/or color to give depth and dimension that can be subtle or bold. Can take 2 sessions to achieve desired look. A color consultation is requested before hand if first time client
OMBRE
Gradient color with deepest at the "root" and lightest on the ends. Can take 2 sessions to achieve desired look. A color consultation is requested before hand if first time client
BLONDING
Lightening hair with bleach; can be booked for a blonde root retouch and going blonde or platinum; toner included, removing both artificial and natural hair color. Can take 2 sessions to achieve desired look, this is a specialized skill and a consultation is recommended.
CREATIVE/ SPECIALTY SHADES
Pastel, vivid, any color of the rainbow. Can take 2 sessions to achieve desired look. A color consultation is requested before hand if first time client
